      Description

      Good:
      http://jenkins.mirror.isppower.de/updates/updates/

      Not good:
      http://jenkins.mirror.isppower.de/updates/current/updates/
      http://jenkins.mirror.isppower.de/updates/stable-2.32/

Already looks like this on OSUOSL, so appears to be an issue on our side. Possibly related to symlinks for per-release updates/

Most users will just use http://updates.jenkins-ci.org/update-center.json but deliberately choosing a different update site is at least necessary for http://updates.jenkins-ci.org/experimental/

For users on the experimental update site, it should be possible to switch temporarily to http://updates.jenkins-ci.org/update-center.json for tool installer updates (which hasn't been updated in 8 months for the experimental site), then switch back. As update site metadata gets updated before tool installer metadata, this should not impact Jenkins getting new metadata for plugins.

Users on specific versioned update sites can just switch to http://updates.jenkins-ci.org/update-center.json as Jenkins sends query parameters that redirect to one of the versioned update sites, e.g. update-center.json?id=default&version=2.19.4 -> /stable-2.19/update-center.json

Switching to  http://updates.jenkins-ci.org/update-center.json does not help in any way – same error message: "None of the tool installer metadata passed the signature check".

Thomas Schweikle Try https, you might get a terrible mirror for these.

          From https://issues.jenkins-ci.org/browse/JENKINS-32831

Same error here (" None of the tool installer metadata passed the signature check"). I'm on Jenkins 2.114 and use http://updates.jenkins-ci.org/update-center.json.

          Https does not help.
