      Description

In INFRA-1500 we requested a jenkins/pct repository with autobuild feature enabled. But currently there is no automatic builds running

A repository needs to be re-created to enable automatic builds, and it needs to be done before INFRA-1534 is integrated

FTR I do not depend on any concrete label as the concrete docker image for runPCT can be defined in the metadata file, however, if every build is going to create a jenkins/pct:latest then there is no possibility to choose.

So I think that every image pushed should be tagged with a different version or at least have a list of sha s of the image per commit or we need to start to properly version the PCT. I strongly believe that if jenkins/pct:latest has a bug I should be able to access another image version, I do not mind the exact format, but we need one

Raul Arabaolaza Yes, in DockerHub we can setup builds for labels. I have it configured for Docker agenk packages, e.g. see https://hub.docker.com/r/jenkinsci/slave/

Whatever the tag format, it's a good habit to add build/commit information into labels but using jenkins/pct:latest really leads to confusion not only from a technical point of view but also from a human perspective.
I would suggest to use build_nbr-short_commit_hash
