[ssh slaves] - No support of user's custom credentials since 0.23

XMLWordPrintable

      Hello,

“Credentials plugin” allows to create user-specific SSH credentials. Unfortunately, “ssh slaves” doesn’t support user’s custom credentials in slave configuration.

      So:
      1) User without “Overall/Administer” rights can’t edit global/system credentials => He can’t create node with custom credentials even if he has “Slave/Configure” privilege
      2) Admin can create custom credentials for user in global space, but then he will need user’s password => not good
      3) Admin can grant temporary “Overall/Administer” rights to user => not good too

So, version 0.23 prohibits several use-cases from previous versions. I suppose that plugin should support user’s credentials or legacy user/password approach from previous versions.
