Check out Member Branch Tip from Integrity

      Description

We are running a Integrity as SCM and are now migrating to Jenkins. I tried to set up a test project and everything works fine so far, but one thing: I cannot seem to make the plugin check out the Member Branch Tip of the project. Somehow, it always reverts to checking out the current Member Revision.

Is there a configuration I'm missing?

Checking out from branch tip for individual files is not a normal mode of operation in Integrity. I would have to review your process as a whole as this type of activity is far from what we would recommend as "best practices".

That said, if you insist on wanting the checkout from branch tip, then I strongly suggest you investigate the use of 'Development Paths' (project branches) to create a configuration (Update Member Revision - F7) that would include all your 'Branch Tips' in this special development path.

Then you can pass in the 'configuration path' for this development path to the Jenkins plugin and you'll get the behavior you seek.

          Thanks!

          Hey Cletus,

thanks for the insight. Might I ask what you do recommend as "best practises" - I'm not against implementing some changes to the development system to make Jenkins/Integrity work for us. Maybe we can learn something here?

Additionally you might want to investigate the use of Change Packages and Apply/Resync CP to propagate changes between Development Paths.
