My requirement is to be able to run a validation from the shell environment and then publish a report in the Jenkisn UI.
To achieve this, I have defined an external job that is run by an external script and a downstream job that runs on Jenkins. The external jobs is triggered by a crontab on the Jenkins host and the downstream job is reading the Junit results list to update the dashboard on tests execution. The main problem is that the dependency on downstream jobs is not always working.
