      Description

In trying to configure and test the JiraTestResultReporter, I'm finding that the documented way to configure test to issue mapping doesn't work. There is no + option for each test that is presented.

The work around for not being able to edit the test to issue association would be to document the json file format and location.

      Job/Problem Recreation
      Freestyle job.
Create XML file from within shell build step
Add build step for Xunit result processing
      Configure tool - googleTest 1.6
      Post Build Step
      Configure Junit test result report
Add JiraTestResultReporter, Add project ID and validate.
      Run job.
Post job run navigate to job details and test results.
At this point, the results are presented but no test associations are available.
I currently don't have any failing tests but would like to have my test results posted.

I do see that something has been processed - jenkins.log for the test run.

          Larry Brigman, Alberto Gomez-Estrada,

We've had a short debugging session just now and we've realized that you were talking about successful tests .

As a design choice, we did not allow Test linkages to be done for passing tests. We only show the Add issue button when a tests has failed. You will still see the linkage after the test passes, until you unlink them.

Can you please make one of your tests fail, just to see that everything works as expected?

Larry Brigman, Alberto Gomez-Estrada, we're setting the issue to Not a defect for the moment. If you have the time, please go through my previous comment and let us know if you agree.

I have not had time to get back to testing this. The process of needing to have failing tests on a build for a manual association doesn't work for us.

You can close this as we have moved on to using Zephyr-for-Jira plugin which will record test executions pass or fail.
I do like the auto defect creation with on failure and auto-resolve when passed.
