I have a Jenkins job that contains a groovy script that copies projects and renames them. During a run of this script, I attempted to copy the project to the root directory. However, unfortunately, I created a project called "/". Thinking this would be a confusing project name for my team, I attempted to delete the project from the console. However, this took longer than usual, and I worried that maybe the Jenkins Delete process was misinterpreting the project name "/", and aborted the deletion. Later in the day, I noticed that all of our job directories were deleted and were only visible on the console bc they were still in memory.
Obviously, no one would ever intentionally name a project "/", but since this happened, I wanted to make sure the rest of the community was aware. It could also be a coincidence...I didn't reproduce it.
