After installing Jenkins CI, when I attempt to access it from a browser, I get this error:
java.io.IOException: Unable to create /Users/Shared/Jenkins/Home/jobs Permission issue? Please create this directory manually. at jenkins.model.Jenkins.loadTasks(Jenkins.java:3033) at jenkins.model.Jenkins.<init>(Jenkins.java:904) at hudson.model.Hudson.<init>(Hudson.java:85) at hudson.model.Hudson.<init>(Hudson.java:81) at hudson.WebAppMain$3.run(WebAppMain.java:231) Caused: hudson.util.HudsonFailedToLoad at hudson.WebAppMain$3.run(WebAppMain.java:248)
I'm running this on my local MacBook Pro running macOS Sierra 10.12.4.
I have a set of automated scripts that install Jenkins and customize, for example, install plugins and add tools configuration. I'm using the Jenkins database for user management.
On another Mac, it works as expected. I'm running the out of the box jenkins service account for this.
I do have a symlink for the jobs folder that links it to another storage mount as I host this type of data separately from the OS disk.
I saw an older issue where someone with the same error encountered this. A bug was fixed to a much older version of Jenkins. The issue maybe related.
