There is the case where the ping thread is successful for an agent, but the master actually fails to connect by SSH.  For example, after a timeout on the SSH attempt, "hudson.remoting.ChannelClosedException: channel is already closed" is returned, but agent continues to show as available.  Would be good to have the option to SSH login/logout of the agent periodically and mark as offline if it fails.
