I was offered several plugins to update so I selected them all and chose install now.

During this the download of one of the plugins failed to download with a HTTP 502 error.

This left my jenkins in a state that I would not like to restart it (several of the pllugins had updated but one failed).

If I restart then dependencies could not be met leading to plugins being deactive (at best and a borked instance at worse for example if this was a critical dependency of a security plugin)

But what shocked me most of all is there was no way to recover without restarting.

Going back to the plugin manager did not let me try to upgrade the plugins again...

Jenkins did also not even attempt to try again incase this was a transient error.

As an administrator I should be able to get Jenkins to retry failed plugin updates without having to restart my instnace and risk a borken configuration or have to have a double restart.
