All tests were done on Windows XP prof. due to java 1.5 issue documented in
      issue 4736.

I tried installing the slave as a service. I followed the instruction from the
      wiki
      (http://wiki.jenkins-ci.org/display/JENKINS/Installing+Hudson+as+a+Windows+service).
I got the confirmation popup and proceeded with 'OK'. I never got a successful
or error message. No service was installed.

Then I tried the cmd-version od installing a service. It does created a service,
the command in the service works (tested it by running it from the command
prompt). When starting the service (net start hudson-slave) it connects to the
master and seems to work fine until I get the following error message.

The service is not responding to the control function.

More help is available by typing NET HELPMSG 2186.

If I use windows UI tools ti start the service, the start fails (probably after
      the time out).

In addition I noticed, that the slave does not log into the path configured,
even so it puts 3 jar file in that folder. It creates a .hidson folder in the
      profile (c:\documents and settings\<username>)
