      Description

      Hi Team,

While using JIRA Release Version parameter option in Jenkins, we are getting connection timeout error. Could you please let us know the cause of this issue? We were ableto fetch JIRA versions using JIRA pipeline steps plugin. And connection to JIRA is working perfectly.

Timeout error is rather related to network/performance issue of JIRA. Try to do a tcpdump and look up the network communication between Jenkins and JIRA to see if JIRA actually replies to the request from Jenkins (and in what time). It might be that the Jenkins http client default timeout is too short for your response.
          Hope that helps.

Yes, JIRA integration is working with Jenkins. Since we are able to fetch the JIRA versions via jenkins pipleline steps plugin.

Radek Antoniuk could you please suggest a solution for the issue at the earliest?

To suggest a solution/workaround we need to know the root cause. Did you try to check if JIRA actually replies to Jenkins with tcpdump after the moment the TimeoutException is thrown? Did you try increasing the connection timeout in JIRA site settings?

Yes, JIRA is connecting from Jenkins. As i mentioend earlier, we are able to fetch the details with JIRA api. Not sure, why the parameter value is not being fetched using JIRA release version parameter plugin,.
