Users often use a deprecated CLI command without realizing that the command is deprecated and an alternative should be used. Currently, the /cli page in Jenkins and the CLI command line output of the available commands include [deprecated] at the end of the description of deprecated commands, but this information by itself is not particularly useful to the end user.

We should document alternatives to the deprecated commands where appropriate, and have the documentation or a link to it appear in the command listings to help guide the user to alternatives. Maybe we could even log the same information when a deprecated command fails which is when the user will need to fix it.
