Allowing TLS email connections which are needed for example when using gmail as outgoing smtp server.

There are some minor mistakes in the code that prevent the authentification to work as well as usage of TLS. (like for gmail smtp). According artice about javamail and tls (see url of bug) it should be not hard to use ssl and tls with javamail.

patch/diff focuses on the tls usage, I don't know if ssl works standalone, but authentification works
