For projects which use git, the git configuration is not read during polling if the project has never been built on master. We discovered this because we connect to our repository using https and have a self-signed certificate. The project was never built on master (the machine polling) and we got error messages about the certificate in the polling log despite having configured git to not verify the certificate.

After the project has been built once on master, everything works fine. It reads the configuration now and does not verify the certificate.
