It appears that the DNS multicast announcement only takes place as Hudson is started which makes this feature fairly useless. As far as I know the announcement frequency should be equal service request frequency in the network (I don't know how to figure this one out). This will enable clients (as the one I'm working on) to automatically connect to local Hudson servers.
If at least the frequency could be updated to be at most a few minutes it would be of great help.
