      Description

The new plugin page on the website at https://plugins.jenkins.io/ displays plugins in a grid-like fashion. Personally, I find it hard to browse plugins in this way when I try to find out if there's a plugin that might be close enough to what I want. In that case, it's difficult for me to find the right keywords and possibly even the right category. I couldn't find any alternative view of the plugins on the website.

It would be much easier for me if there was a complete list of plugins, e.g. ordered alphabetically. Basically, some version of the old plugin Wiki page. It doesn't have to look nice, it just has to have the useful information presented in a sensible order, e.g. a single line per plugin with name (linked to the plugins wiki page) and description. IMHO category and author aren't that important but they could be on the page if they weren't in the way (e.g. at the end of the line).

Erik Brangs - Hey Erik. Sorry for the delayed response. I think at the time this was created the fonts weren't working properly and subsequently the view buttons didn't appear correct. In the upper-right, next to the search bar, are 3 view buttons, the first is by default selected. I just wanted to see if you noticed the other view options and if they meet your needs. It's possible to sort by 'title' and switch to 2 different views. Please let me know your feeback.

Thanks for your comment. The other 2 view options are useful to me. For full text search, the only thing that's really missing is an option to display all entries on a page (i.e. disable pagination).

          Additional feedback:

          a) I couldn't guess the difference between the effect of the second button and the effect of the third button at first glance. I had to try them out to see the difference. I think that this happened because the buttons have a lot of wasted space. Each button basically looks like a square with a black-border inside a rectangle. Would it be possible to have square buttons and just scale the center icon to fit the whole button? IMHO this would make the buttons easier to recognize.

          b) For the rightmost view option, the ordering of the information is a bit weird. It is currently

Name, Installs, Required Jenkins Version, Category, Description, Author Information

Personally, I would expect an ordering like

Name, Category, Description, Required Jenkins Version, Installs, Author Information

          c) If I change the text size on the plugin page in Firefox (e.g. by pressing Ctrl and +), the black Jenkins top bar starts covering parts of the plugin page. The larger the size, the worse it gets. This seems to happen because the text in the top bar no longer fits on a single line. I'm using 1280x1024 as resolution.
