From today's meeting, in order to incorporate the changelog and download snippets, the site should be generated on cuucmber where those flies are located right now

One idea that I just had, recording for posterity, is to publish the changelog and latest version information somewhere else so that the content generation can pick it up.

This would make it easier to generate and publish anywhere instead of being overly restricted to cucumber, but has the downside of requiring some work downstream from changelog generation on cucumber.

            Changelog:
            https://raw.githubusercontent.com/jenkinsci/jenkins/master/changelog.html

The real problem is the LTS changelog-stable.html which gets pushed from KK's build box to Cucumber. I don't even have a way to change its contents other than to edit that on cucumber (and need to re-enter my changes after every release since it only pushes, never pulls).

            Latest release:
            Regular: http://repo.jenkins-ci.org/api/search/latestVersion?g=org.jenkins-ci.main&a=jenkins-war&repos=releases&v=1.???
            LTS: http://repo.jenkins-ci.org/api/search/latestVersion?g=org.jenkins-ci.main&a=jenkins-war&repos=releases&v=1.???.?
Or just scrape http://mirrors.jenkins-ci.org/war/ or http://mirrors.jenkins-ci.org/war-stable/ for real data – which is what it does since my recent change only through local FS access.
