After upgrading to 1.498 and running the rekey process seemingly successfully, I get errors when trying to launch SSH Linux slaves. "This node is offline because Jenkins failed to launch the slave agent on it. See log for more details". Clicking on the "see log for more details" link just gives an empty page with a spinning wheel.

In my various attempts to find a workaround, I did the following, all to no avail. The problem persists.

• Downgrade to 1.494
• Delete and reconfigure slaves
• Reboot both master and slave machines several times

I also have a windows slave and experienced the issue described in JENKINS-16273, but I was able to resolve it by deleting and reconfiguring that particular slave.
