Dashboard view not displayed after upgrading to Jenkins 1.538

      After upgrading to Jenkins 1.538, no information is displayed for dashboard based views. Downgrading to Jenkins 1.537 resolves the problem.
      The version of the dashboard-view plugin is 2.9.2.

      There were heaps of exceptions output to the logs.
      For instance:
      hudson.ExpressionFactory2$JexlExpression evaluate
      WARNING: Caught exception evaluating: it.getBuildStat(jobs) in /jenkins/. Reason: java.lang.NullPointerException
      java.lang.NullPointerException
      at hudson.plugins.view.dashboard.stats.StatBuilds.getBuildStat(StatBuilds.java:42)

      Reference the jenkins.log attachment for the complete exception log output.
