User scenario:

I rename a Jenkins project from "Charles" to "Chuck". Now all external links to Charles (in emails, wikis, code review, et al.) return 404 errors.

It would be helpful if redirect/alias functionality could be put in place that would redirect (or provide a link) from a deprecated job url to the new/official job url.

For example "job/Charles/150" would redirect to job/Chuck/150".
