PR #20 introduce the possibility to define properties for resources. Those properties are then available at build time for use in projects. See the PR for more details.

PS: I read the JIRA guidelines but as there seems to be no activity at all on project tracker/PR I thought it was a good idea to have an issue created to track the PR.
