      Stephen,

Following our recent exchange of emails I successfully implemented a custom
JavaProvider to supply our AIX and HP slave nodes with the location of a
suitable Java run-time, to supplement the list of 'well-known' Java locations.
However, try as I might, I could not find a way of configuring the path names
that this JavaProvider returned with a Hudson config screen and I ended up hard-
coding the paths - not a very satisfactory solution.

One thing I did try was to copy the ssh slaves plugin in its entirety and
adding a jvm location config field above the existing jvm options field and
that worked very well - except of course that copying the entire plugin was not
a very satisfactory solution either. So I was wondering whether you would
consider adding a field to the ssh-slaves config that would, optionally, supply
the location of one or more paths to the Java run-time on the node. This would,
of course, be in addition to any paths supplied by any custom JavaProvider
      plugins.

      Best wishes

      Stuart Barry
