      Description

Ive fielded multiple support requests where the server URL was not the same as the URL Jenkins was accessed from. The "Open Blue Ocean" button seems not to work.

Is there a way that we can make the button work based on the URL it was accessed from?

My preference: if they don't have it setup correctly - just direct them to the basic /blue home page - which we know will work. If they have it set up correctly, all will be great for them, and we don't have to do crazy shenanigans to make it work without the correct config. If there is a warning to them that it isn't configured correctly - that is nice, but optional.

I really do not like apps that just start doing something different to what you expect. If you've been using Blue Ocean and know how this button works then you're going to expect certain behaviours. If that behaviour changes for some unknown reason (unknown to the user - even if there's warning about it somewhere else) then that can be quite annoying. Personally I much prefer an app to tell me something is not right and not do unexpected things.

Anyway ... I'll have a look and see can I hack it to "just work", as is often said
