      Description

      Hey there,

We're setting up the Google Compute Engine plugin on our Jenkins instance which reaches the Internet through a proxy. Unfortunately, as we're configuring the plugin with our project ID and service account credentials, we face the following issue:

Could not list regions in project ***

      Error retrieving networks java.net.UnknownHostException: accounts.google.com

In fact, the plugin does not honor Jenkins' proxy settings.

I managed to make the plugin work by passing Dhttp.proxy* and  -Dhttps.proxy* arguments to the JVM. I wonder if plugins should honor these instead of "HTTP Proxy Configuration" under Plugin Manager's Advanced tab. I'm closing this issue.
