If you specify a default value for a parameter in a Jenkinsfile and you do not have a corresponding parameter defined in the job; I would like the defaultValue to be honored. 

This would allow for simplified job definitions within the ui as often times these default values are more than enough. However, when I would like to override that value I would like to not need another Jenkinsfile with the same items defined.
