During subversion initial checkout/update, the checkout/update takes a really long time and the parent HUDSON process keeps spawning a secondary child process that only lives a few seconds before terminating

    • IBM's AIX version 5.3 with IBM's java 1.6.0 using winstone (aka java -jar hudson.war).

I am getting a very odd behaviour with running HUDSON under winstone on IBM's AIX unix with IBM's JAVA 1.6.0 JVM. Only during subversion initial checkout/update of the workspace, the checkout is REALLY slow and the first JVM process, "java -jar hudson.war" seems to continually spawn a second process of "java -jar hudson.war" with the first process's PID as the parent PID. This second process only lasts for a few seconds and goes away.
