We have approximately 60 build pipelines (which include several branches each) on our build system. For some time now we have a high CPU load of the jenkins process.

I investigated the issue and if I disable the multibranch plugin, the CPU load is normal. If I reenable the plugin I have again high CPU load.

The UI is still usable but is very slow.
