A number of bugs have been uncovered due to the Maven embedder we're using being 2.0.4 - sadly, we can't actually upgrade that without a fairly drastic rewrite, since that's the most recent actual Maven embedder. Theoretically, we should be able to find a better way to do this with Maven 3 - more investigation is needed.
I'm opening this issue to serve as a central place for tracking the 2.0.4 upgrade-related issues.
