I'd prefer to see better consistency between http://jenkins-ci.org/node (1) and http://jenkins-ci.org/ (2). They are somewhat similar - but not quite. In fact, I propose to have a single landing page that combines the best of both.

• use 2 as the basis
• add the "past releases", "upgrading from Hudson" links and the links to the native packages from the download box in 1 to the download box in 2
• place the three Meet|Use|Extend Jenkins links from 1 just above the blog in 2 and remove the current "favorite blog posts" (or whatever that is) from 2 instead
